1 Litre Cultured Buttermilk
Cultured buttermilk is such an amazing ingredient. You can throw it in curries, casseroles, pancakes, cakes and of course scones! It breaks meat down very quickly, just substitute it for milk or cream.
Fun fact - the buttermilk sold in supermarkets is made from skim milk and a culture. This is the real deal. If you look closely you can see specks of butter floating on top.
