Vanilla Panna Cotta

Vanilla Panna Cotta

This family style panna cotta is the perfect addition to your festive dessert table. Velvety, creamy & subtly sweet, it makes a great alternative to the traditional Christmas Pav.

    To serve:

Pour the cream, sugar, 180mls of the milk, vanilla bean paste & salt into a medium saucepan & slowly heat, stirring occasionally, until the edges of the pan start to gently bubble.

Remove from the heat & allow to cool for around 10 minutes (or until you can poke your finger in there without it feeling too hot !)

Whilst the mix is cooling, sprinkle the gelatine powder over the 60mls of cold milk, stir to combine & allow to sit for 10 minutes to activate.

Once activated, pour a little of the warm cream mixture over the gelatin mix & stir until the gelatin is completely dissolved.

Pour the gelatin mix into the saucepan of cream mixture, add the crème fraiche & whisk until smooth.

Using a fine mesh strainer, pour the panna cotta into a large shallow serving dish. Cover & refrigerate overnight until set.

To serve, top with your chosen fruit & dig in ! 💫
