Iced Blueberry Matcha

Ingredients 

  • 100g blueberries 
  • 1 tsp pure maple syrup 
  • Dash of vanilla extract 
  • 3g of pure ceremonial grade matcha powder 
  • 30mL of hot water 
  • 130g of ice 
  • 110mL of milk of choice 

 

Method 

  1. Place blueberries, maple & vanilla into a saucepan on low heat. Simmer for approximately 5-10 minutes until the blueberries begin to soften and can be mashed with a fork. Use a stick mixer or blender and blend the syrup until smooth. Place in the fridge to cool. 
  2. Weigh matcha into a bowl with hot water (preferably 80 degrees) & whisk until smooth. 
  3. Spoon 25g (approximately 2 tbsp) of blueberry syrup into the base of a 350mL glass. Fill with ice, top with milk & matcha. Enjoy with a straw for that perfect sip!
